After high school I attended college in California, graduating from UC Santa Barbara in 1990 with Degrees in History and Anthropology. I continued my education and graduated with a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Golden Gate University in San Francisco in 1993. With my Doctor of Jurisprudence in hand, I came “home” to Nevada and have been in private practice in the Las Vegas Valley, since passing the Nevada State Bar in 1993. I practice primarily in Divorce, Family Law, Criminal Defense, Juvenile Abuse/Neglect and Personal Injury. I am passionate about protecting the rights of those who live and visit Nevada. I have received awards from Clark County Pro Bono Project, Clark County Legal Services Program, United States Senate, U.S. House of Representatives and the Office of the Governor with regards to my legal services."

Kathy Gentry
Kathy is our firm administrator/office paralegal. She runs the office as
well as handles all Family
Law cases. Kathy has been a paralegal with us for the last 14 years,
and
she has 24 years of experience in
Family
Law. Kathy has patience and empathy for clients who are going
through the difficulties of
Divorce and
custody issues. She has much expertise regarding the legal system and
office management and continues to expand her knowledge and experience

Trish Gibson
Trish, a Legal Assistant, joined the office in 2005. She is our right hand
with regards to Child Protective Services (CPS), Abuse/Neglect and
Termination of Parental Rights cases. Trish assists in dealing with
case workers, attending Child and Family Team meetings, preparing
numerous pleadings and preparing for Trials, thus expanding her
knowledge of how the Juvenile Court system works. Trish brings,
compassion, understanding and confidentiality to this extremely
sensitive area of my practice. Trish is overly passionate about parental
rights and ensuring those rights are not violated by state agencies or

Colleen Ortiz
Colleen, a Legal Assistant, joined the office in 2008. She assists with the Criminal and Personal Injury portion of
our practice.
Criminal
Defense takes heart and she has heart to defend your rights. Colleen
is responsible for scheduling filing/preparing motions and pleadings
with the court, DMV, Administrative hearings, and responding to client
inquiries. Her caring expertise will dramatically lessen your
apprehension as we resolve your matter together. Personal injury clients
need not to worry about bullying insurance companies, setting doctors
appointments and financial concerns. Colleen assists me in determining
current and future medical costs, loss of work, etc. so a proper
settlement can be agreed upon by all interested parties. While insurance
companies look out for their best interests, we will look out for yours.
